Background
At the time of its establishment in 1952, Arabaev Kyrgyz State Pedagogical University (KSPU) was the nation’s only full-time women’s pedagogical institute. Today KSPU remains the only pedagogical university in the in the Kyrgyz Republic and is a leading center in the training of highly educated and qualified teachers. The University has expanded in its mission and currently conducts both education and research. |

| Arabaev Kyrgyz State Pedagogical University continues to serve as a unique institution within the higher education system of the Kyrgyz Republic. The University is positioned to continue to build upon its primary role as a major center of teacher education and training in the natural, physical, and social sciences as well as the humanities. The University values its international reputation as a center of innovative research and teaching. Graduate students are very important to the continued success of the university and comprise one fourth of the total student enrolment. |
